Helbig Consullting Email Configuration Changes

March 2009

Once your account has been migrated to the new mail platform, you will need to use the following settings when configuring your mail client.
Important: If your mailbox username included a # or %, your mailbox username has been changed. It is replaced with the @ sign. For example, if you have test#testdomain.com or test%testdomain.com as your mailbox username, you will now need to input test@testdomain.com. This is also required for logging into Webmail.

Settings for Outlook or Outlook Express
  • Incoming (POP) Mail Server: mail.yourdomain.com
  • Outgoing (SMTP) Mail Server: mail.yourdomain.com
  • POP Port: 110
  • SMTP Port: 587
  • SMTP server requires authentication: check this box, and supply your email address and password as the login authentication.

These changes will mean that you can now send email if you are connected through someone else?e internet connection, i.e. a different ISP.
